This is the sickest generation ever! There are so many cases of heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, obesity, and cancers. Every pill we take is like putting a band-aid on a serious issue and refusing to find the root cause of our problems. Imagine how much money our health care system would save if we took care of our bodies better. So what do you do when you find out you sick, do you give up? Do you nurse your body back to health? Do you relax, exercise and drink more fluids? The good news is, we don't need to give up and lose hope, even for more serious illnesses. No one else owns our body. We need to take full responsibility for what we put into our bodies and how we treat our bodies. Our body is like a car. It can last longer if we take care of it properly. We have the power to change it and heal it. It's not going to happen overnight. Especially if you are over 40 and you have abused it for so many years, but you can restore it. There is a lot of research that illustrates the power of food and how we can restore our health and reverse disease. Are you up for the challenge? I know I was when I was diagnosed with a thyroid disease after the birth of my first child. Despite being a vegetarian, I was unhealthy. Living on cheese, french fries and soda pop is not considered a healthy vegetarian, vegan or meat-eater. Its all about the food we eat, not about what we label ourselves. I was not kind to my body back then. Today, I concentrate on healing it by eating the right foods, something I never did as a vegetarian. Join me on this journey.
