What's making us Sick?

Are you trying to keep up with the Jones's? We are a money hungry nation, striving for bigger homes, fancier cars, and better paying jobs. However, with all these wants comes consequences. It's no wonder we are suffering in more than one way. We have more mental health problems than ever before, unhappy children, a television set as entertainment, fast food restaurants to replace our sit down meals, and a day that seems to fly by so quickly you can't smell the flowers. Is your motto, "I've got to get it done?" Things may get done today, but who pays the price, as tomorrow brings more things that gotta get done! Our plates are filling up quickly not only with time but with food, and before we know it our lives are over. Is this how you want to spend the last years of your life? What do you have to show for it? Things? An unhealthy and/or sick body? Unhappy children? A destroyed marriage? It's not that hard to figure out where change needs to be made, but we are a stubborn nation, yearning for more change that isn't necessarily positive. Not only do our children suffer, but our bodies suffer too. We are stressed, over worked and run down. Our bodies live on an earth tempted by fast food restaurants, ice cream parlors, candy shops, and processed foods. But wait, that's not all! We are pumped full of antibiotics, pesticides, chemicals, toxins and hormones, and we wonder why we are sick? So, what do we do now? In order to heal our bodies we need to start eating healthy foods, foods that heal. Just like our parents used to say to us, if you don't eat your fruits and vegetables, "you don't get dessert". You can still have dessert, but it should be unprocessed. Even a real fruit is a dessert. I make healthy ice cream using real, fresh fruit. As soon as you tell yourself that we have a world of vibrant, wholesome fruits and vegetables you will stopped feeling deprived and start appreciating the abundance of food we have on earth, not from a factory.
