Ingredients

1 cup of raw oats

1 cup of walnuts

1 medium onion

2 Tbsp of ketchup

1 tsp of chili powder

Salt and pepper to taste (optional)

2 Tbsp of extra virgin olive oil

1 flax-seed egg (1Tbsp ground flax-seed 3 water)

1. Grind the onion in the food processor.

2. Add the nuts and oats and pulse to chop, but not too fine.

3. Add ketchup, chili powder, salt, pepper, and egg. Pulse briefly; don’t grind the mixture too

much. Add a little water or veggie stock to moisten.

4. Let mixture rest for a few minutes, if you have time, then shape into 4-6 patties.

5. Put olive oil in a non-stick pan/skillet over medium heat. When the oil is hot put the

burgers on the skillet and cook for 5 minutes. Lower the heat a bit and cook on the other

side 3 or 4 minutes more until firm.

6. Serve on plates or cool and refrigerate or freeze for later.
